Southern Snake Bite

In February 2019 we attended the first ever Heat Wave Hot Sauce Expo in London Ontario. The brainchild of Andrew Kitt, a London Ontario entrepreneur and president of London Comic-Con, this event allowed the public to attend and sample the creations of 50 or so hot sauce makers who had booths there. Of course, Mariana and I went about sampling these amazing sauces and she came up with this recipe at our booth, writing it down on a napkin. Combining insanely hot Trinidad Scorpion Moruga and smoked cayenne peppers with molasses, peaches and sweet orange bell peppers, this sauce starts off on the palate with a deceptively sweet pecan pie flavour until it bursts into a raging fireball of burn. Our second hottest sauce creation. So good!!!!
