Stinging Nettle Hot Sauce

Stinging nettle plants stems are covered in spiny needles that contain the same chemical that is found in a wasp’s stinger. If you pull one of these out of your garden without gloves, as I have, your hand burns like it is on fire. However, the leaves of this plant make a tea that not only has a distinct and pleasant flavor, but it therapeutic.
In 2022 we made a sauce using green Thai chilies, poblano peppers, summer savory, mint and Stinging nettle tea and leaves.
A very unique flavor that is fantastic in soups and stews.
